Kukkilintu park, Joensuu
Our ASEMA benches have been selected for a prime location in Tikkurila – the Carl Albert Edelfelt square in front of Hotel Vantaa near the busy Tikkurila station.
As part of the area’s ongoing transformation, the space is set to feature the impressive Korppi sculpture by Teija and Pekka Isorättyä, which will sit on a pedestal constructed from recycled bricks. The site combines functionality and art, including an emergency exit and ventilation duct structure, beautifully integrated into the overall design.
The ASEMA benches we provided for the square are crafted from stone and wood, bringing a contemporary aesthetic to the vibrant surroundings. Known for their urban feel and adaptability, these benches are customizable in both armrest positioning and length, allowing them to seamlessly fit into the landscape. Positioned alongside other key elements of the space, they complement the public art and contribute to the area's overall functionality.
This project highlights the versatility of ASEMA, blending design, durability, and practicality, while enhancing the communal space for locals and visitors alike.
